All Sturdy-Lite TMH’s (Trailer Mounted Headerboards) have been designed and tested to meet the static load requirements of D.O.T. 393.114. Trailer manufacturer’s specifications for strength of anchor points (pockets, rail, etc.) must be considered especially for flat headerboards. Consult product D.O.T. label for cargo and static rating (static 50% of cargo load rating) or call Sturdy-Lite. Most TMH’s have a minimum 50,000 lb cargo load rating. MH’s have limited ability to withstand impact. Sturdy-Lite makes no claims to impact resistance either implied or otherwise. Any load or force in excess of static load (D.O.T. requirement) may result in serious injury or death.
