Lakota Trailers Inc and Bloomer Trailer Mfg Inc teamed up with TMI April 26-29th at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY for the 2007 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event (www.rk3de.org).

The sport of Eventing is a triatholon for horsemen that includes Dressage, Cross Country and Stadium Jumping.  The unique characteristic of the sport is that it rewards all-around performance.  If the horse's Dressage test isn't the highest scoring test, all is not lost.  Cross-Country is the core of the sport, and as such, completing with any jumping faults cuts you right out of the #1 spot, no matter how good your Dressage score.  Clear Cross-Country won't help though if your horse doesn't respect show jumping poles that can be knocked off with a rub or is too tired after cross-country to lift his legs clear of the poles.  The three different tests of the horse and rider are why horsemanship is such an important part of Eventing.  The rider, too, must be an athlete and must be able to manage his horse through three days of very different competition.

This year, the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event celebrated its 10th year as a Four Star competition, another milestone in the progressive development of this event and the sport of Eventing in the US and worldwide.  Rolex Kentucky serves in 2007 as not only a Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) Qualifying Competition for the eventing discipline of the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong, but also as a US Equestrian Federation Selection Trial for those Games.
