Reitnouer

Reitnouer, Inc. was founded in 1982 by Bud Reitnouer. Bud was convinced that a better aluminum trailer could be manufactured without welding. Since aluminum is a heat treated metal, basic metallurgy tells us that welding (re-heating a heat treated metal) structurally weakens the material at the point of attachment. Bud was convinced that bolting a trailer could eliminate this inherent problem. He was right. For over twenty years, Reitnouer, Inc. has led the entire industry in combining strength with weight saving features. As a result, Reitnouer also leads the industry in sales of all aluminum flatbeds and drop deck trailers.

Reitnouer

What makes a Reitnouer special? A rock solid design proven over millions of miles. Reitnouer aluminum trailers are bolted. With the exception of the rub rail, there's not a welded aluminum joint anywhere on a Reitnouer. Why? Because research and experience shows that when a heat treated aluminum alloy is welded, the intense heat required to weld the joint significantly reduces the aluminum's tensile strength. As a result, bolting makes Reitnouer flatbed trailers stronger and more durable.

Reitnouer

When Reitnouer introduced its first totally bolted aluminum flatbed trailer in 1982, it revolutionized the industry. With its innovative two-piece main beam construction and a whole host of breakthrough features, including a tapered beam design to optimize strength and weight and safety tread deck, the Reitnouer Aluminum Flatbed quickly became the standard against which all other flatbeds were measured. Two decades later, Reitnouer continues its tradition of leadership and innovation.

Extruded of high tensile, 6061 T6 aluminum alloy, the bottom rail on a Reitnouer is flat, while the top rail is arched. Then the two pieces are bolted in the center (along the neutral axis), eliminating any bolting or welding at the flanges, where beam stresses are the greatest. Next, Reitnouer adds solid one-piece alloy cross members. These redesigned cross members have an offset web for more torsional resistance. They are also reinforced between the main rails (where additional strength is needed for coil hauling) with a dual web design. Another Reitnouer first! Plus, an inner flange is extruded to the main beam so the load forces are distributed over an even greater area; and three-piece floating outriggers minimize the stress on the main beam.

Add to that Reitnouer's rail overlap reinforcement at the neck area. This innovative design provides more meat where it's needed most-at the fifth wheel. The landing gear is tied to four cross members for greater load distribution and stability, and the suspension features a "box-type" support mounting for maximum strength. Long "J" shaped mounting brackets distribute load forces over a much larger area than conventional designs, and suspensions and fifth wheel plates are powder coated for optimal corrosion protection. Reitnouer flatbeds have a unique Safety-Tread Deck so that pallets bite in and drivers don't slip while walking on the deck. And since a trailer's corners take such a pounding, we use solid extruded corners that are extremely heavy-duty. The new rear bumper design exceeds the new DOT standards. Its three-piece design is bolted, allowing easy repair or replacement-an extremely important feature since owners are now required to maintain these bumpers in the original condition and design to ensure long-term DOT strength requirements.

Aluminum Flatbeds - Big Bubba

Reitnouer

The industry standard for strength and hauling capacity, the Big Bubba is the flagship of the Reitnouer line. Rated at 70,000 lb capacity in a 10 foot section, and a full 60,000 lb capacity in a 4 foot section, the Big Bubba still weighs thousands less than any steel trailer even approaching Bubba's hauling capacity.

The unique bolted design of the Big Bubba, along with the many innovative features make this trailer truly unique. Available with such options as an all aluminum bulkhead, aluminum logging pockets, super single tires, aluminum tool boxes and many, many more, the Reitnouer Big Bubba will continue to be the heavy duty, all aluminum trailer that all others are measured against.

Aluminum Flatbeds - MaxMiser

Reitnouer

The MaxMiser flatbed has a 90,000 lb GVW capacity, rated at 60,000 lbs in a 10' section, and a full 50,000 lbs in a 4' section. It's a great balance of weight, capacity, and price. When you need to be able to haul the big loads, but don’t need the 100,000 lb GVW capacity of the Reitnouer Big Bubba, there's only oneanswer to your problem - the Reitnouer MaxMiser. The MaxMiser will haul it all!

The unique bolted design of the MaxMiser, combined with such innovative features as a solid one piece crossmember reinforced with an inner extrusion that actually adds reinforcement between the main beams, and our sliding tie down system with four standard (and a fifth optional) tracks to make sure you can chain at any location, offers a unique combination of price, weight savings and longevity to your purchase.

Aluminum Flatbeds - MaxLite

Reitnouer

Reitnouer, Inc. proudly introduces the all-new MaxLite. The newest addition to the all bolted, quality line of aluminum trailers from Reitnouer. MaxLite combines the strength Reitnouer is famous for, with the best weight savings Reitnouer's ever made. The MaxLite is for the more evenly distributed payloads. It carries a GVW rating of 80,000 lbs, with a 50,000 lb. rating in a 10 ft. section, and a full 45,000 lb. rating in a 4 ft. section.

MaxLite is available with all your favorite options, from all aluminum tool boxes to spare tire carriers. LED lights are available and you can put up to 13 per side. MaxLite is just another proof of Reitnouer’s commitment to providing for all our customer’s needs.

Aluminum Dropdecks

Reitnouer

The Reitnouer DropMiser and DropMiser HD offer the same hauling capacities as the MaxMiser and "Big Bubba" flatbeds, with a rear deck height of only 40 inches. When you need a drop deck trailer, the Reitnouer DropMiser delivers the strength you need with the increased load capacity of an aluminum trailer. The Reitnouer DropMiser weighs in at thousands less than conventional steel trailers, using a T-1 steel front section bolted to an aluminum rear section for superior strength, durability and ease of maintenance.

The DropMiser is available in standard and heavy-duty models and, like all of our trailers, features tapered beam construction, solid one-piece cross members that are reinforced between the main rails, an inner flange that supports the cross member, and the totally bolted design that has made Reitnouer the leading name in trailer design.
