Exiss

Since 1994, Exiss Aluminum Trailers, Inc. has revolutionized the industry by producing top-quality aluminum trailers at prices consumers can afford.   Exiss builds a full line of gooseneck and bumper pull aluminum trailers for horses, livestock and automobile transportation, as well as specialty applications.

Before Exiss, aluminum trailers were expensive and primarily custom-made.   Through innovative manufacturing techniques at its facilities in El Reno, Oklahoma, Exiss produces aluminum trailers with customized features. Plus, Exiss prices these high-quality units at 20 to 30 percent below competing aluminum trailers.

The revolutionary spirit at Exiss goes far beyond price.   Its personnel, headed by Rodney Culp, have more than 30 years of experience in the trailer industry.   This knowledge and experience has lead to a number of innovations in designing trailers.   Exiss trailers include features that make towing safe, easy and stylish, no matter what your passion.

As one of the fastest growing aluminum trailer manufacturers in North America, Exiss is part of Universal Trailer Corporation , the leading trailer company in the United States. Universal offers an impressive family of trailer brands. This partnership brings added value to Exiss by raising the bar in trailer manufacturing, quality, marketing and customer satisfaction.

In designing each Exiss trailer, we factored in a thorough knowledge of horses and livestock and how to move them. A full understanding of aluminum and how to build with it. Plus an appreciation of your passion for animals and your quest for value. That's why we integrated heavy-duty components along with proven truck and automotive technologies to build trailers that surpass competing brands.

Livestock Trailers

TOWABILITY
Lighter weight. Many Exiss all-aluminum trailers are much lighter than steel trailers. So they're easier to pull, providing you better fuel efficiency and less wear and tear on your tow vehicle. While some brands have aluminum skin over steel sub frames, our trailers are constructed with all-aluminum materials. This includes the wall studs, floor, cross-members, outside skin and components made by Exiss.

Smoother ride. Radial tires and large 16-inch wheels are standard on most models, providing you a smoother and safer ride. Rubber torsion axles cushion the ride, while independent electric brakes on all wheels allow you slow and stop smoothly.

STRENGTH AND DURABILITY
Nose and king pin design
The king pin coupler system is unique to stock trailers and is patterned after semi trailers. The sturdy 2 5/16-inch coupler tube runs through a steel plate, providing you maximum security in case of accident. Some manufacturers butt-weld their coupler tube to a steel plate, making it susceptible to malfunction.

Huck bolt fasteners are installed in the nose and other high stress areas to assure maximum structural integrity. Our Huck fasteners have the highest uniform clamp and vibration resistance available. Each fastener has a sheer strength in excess of 6,500 pounds. Once installed, Huck fasteners cannot back out, crack or malfunction from vibration. That's strength — and added peace of mind for you.

Sidewalls. Built around durable 1 5/8 x 3-inch sidewall posts, the sidewalls will stand up to the roughest herds and abuses on the ranch, providing strength and durability for years to come.

Side sheets. Our .063 exterior side sheets are thicker than most of the competition and are fastened to sturdy aluminum uprights for maximum strength and rigidity. Fastened compression rivets create a bond that's superior to nuts and bolts as well as pop rivets.

Roof. The roof is made from one-piece aluminum sheet bonded to roof bows on 23-inch centers with a high bond sealant used in building semi trailers. A one-piece roof is very important because seams in the roof increase the potential for water penetrating and causing leaks. Also, our Huck fasteners create a very durable application.

Floor construction. Sturdy 4-inch I-beam cross-members on 10-inch centers, combined with ribbed, interlocking, extruded aluminum planks that run the full length of the trailer create one of the strongest floors in the industry.

COMFORT AND SAFETY
Ventilation. Air slats on both sides of the trailer are 5 11/16-inch wide and allow excellent air circulation. Each air space, including the rear and escape doors, comes standard with a Plexiglas track, giving you the option to better maintain the temperature for your animals.

Electrical system
Electrical wires pass through grummets in posts and walls, reducing the possibility of chafing and short circuits.

Exterior lights are sealed beam to be watertight. Plus all wiring connections are moisture-resistant, so there's less chance of electrical failure.

FIT AND FINISH
Exterior welding. T.I.G. welding provides an improved appearance and strength. Most competitors use the easier M.I.G. welding which is not as visually appealing.

Front corner caps are T.I.G. welded into place to give you one of the smoothest and cleanest looking front caps in the industry.

Why Aluminum?

Aluminum has many advantages over steel for horse and stock trailers, and Exiss uses aluminum components and techniques in unique ways to deliver the most strength and value in the industry.

Strength in a lightweight package
Consider the relentless stress exerted on commercial airplanes every day, year after year. Strong winds, extreme temperatures, immense pressure and extreme vibration. Airplanes are made of aluminum. So are Exiss trailers.

Aluminum is lighter than steel. So it's easier to tow, gives better gas mileage and allows you to haul more horses, livestock and gear.

Pound for pound, aluminum is far stronger than steel. Again, think airplane. Your all-aluminum trailer is both lightweight and sturdy.

Long life and great looks
Unlike steel, aluminum won't corrode when exposed to harsh weather conditions. This means an aluminum trailer will last much longer than steel, particularly in a salty environment.
Due to factors including its corrosion resistance and smooth, shiny appearance, aluminum stays good looking longer than steel.

All aluminum construction
At Exiss, we build each trailer with as much aluminum as possible. From the sturdy 4" I-beam rails and cross members down below to the wall studs, to the one-piece roof on top, it's wall-to-wall aluminum. Some manufacturers use aluminum sidewalls with steel rails and frames. That can be a problem because steel tends to start rusting internally, and you often don't find out until it's too late.

Thicker, stronger aluminum
We manufacture aluminum trailers with some of the most structurally sound aluminum materials and techniques available, including concepts borrowed from the semitrailer industry. All to ensure sturdier, more long-lasting trailers.

Interior and exterior walls on Event trailers are built with heavy-duty .100 and .063 side sheets to withstand years of heavy usage. Our Sport trailers use .040 aluminum.

For added strength, an L-shaped aluminum bracket is huck bolted into position in both top corners of the rear frame.

Competitive price
Aluminum costs more than steel, and construction using aluminum takes more skill. In addition, aluminum requires more metal structure to achieve the same strength as steel. So you would think Exiss trailers would be premium priced. However, through construction efficiencies, we have found ways to keep our trailers surprisingly affordable.

Warranty

Exiss has one of the best warranties in the business. Our Event trailers come with a three-year limited/seven-year structural warranty. Our Sport trailers come with a one-year limited/five-year structural warranty, while our Mach 10 trailers come with a one-year limited/three-year structural warranty.
